D.C. United are hoping to make it back-to-back wins and earn a measure of revenge for a lopsided home loss when they take Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Atlanta (5W-10L-4D) sit a point below the playoff line in the East after a 1-0 loss to Toronto FC Sunday night that extended a winless streak to four games, while D.C. United (3W-10L-6D) snapped a nine-match winless run with a 2-1 victory at FC Cincinnati Sunday.

This is the second meeting this year with Atlanta United celebrating a 4-0 win at Audi Field Oct. 3. Jon Gallagher struck for a brace and Brooks Lennon had a goal and two assists in Atlanta's most lopsided win of the season.

Brad Guzan made five saves and was minutes away from his sixth clean sheet of the season, but Pablo Piatti scored the winner one minute from full time to lift Toronto FC to a 1-0 victory.

"It’s our job to regroup and get ready to go again next week," Guzan said. "That’s the only way. In terms of how do we change, whether you want to say bad luck or what not, change the results, you need to work that much harder in training."

Donovan Pines scored for a second consecutive game and Chris Odoi-Atsem netted the game-winning goal in the 78th minute in a 2-1 victory at FC Cincinnati Sunday. It was a special moment for Odoi-Atsem, two years removed from battling Hodgkins Lymphoma and enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

"It's so awesome," interim coach Chad Ashton said after the match. "He's been through a lot and to continue to just work and work and work, it's just such a credit to him and I'm so happy for him. He's well-deserving to get that."
