It’s a top of the table clash as FC Dallas play host to D.C. United on Saturday evening at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas come into the game with a three-game league winning streak, following their 2-0 win at Orlando City SC last weekend, moving into a tie atop the Western Conference. United still lead the Eastern Conference, concluding their four-game road swing after a 1-0 loss at Seattle Sounders FC two weekends ago.
- FC Dallas won their third game on the trot following a six-game winless run, Mauro Diaz scored for a second consecutive game in a 2-0 victory at Orlando City SC on Saturday evening. The road victory was the first for FCD after their winless five-game road swing May 23-June 19.
- United return to action after their three-game undefeated run was put to an end last time out, a 1-0 defeat at Seattle Sounders FC on July 3. United have been shut out in their last two league games; the visit to FC Dallas concludes a four-game stretch away from RFK Stadium
- United won 4-1 last April 26 at RFK Stadium in the only meeting between the teams, their second consecutive 4-1 victory at home in the all-time series.
- D.C. United last won in Frisco on Sept. 1, 2007, a 4-0 victory. FC Dallas have won three of their five home meetings since, with two draws, including a 2-1 win there May 11, 2013 in the only meeting that season.
