The list of unavailable players for LAFC's clash against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night continues to grow.
Already without the likes of Carlos Vela and Tristan Blackmon (not medically cleared) as well as Diego Rossi, Brian Rodriguez, Diego Palacios and Jose Cifuentes (international duty), LAFC will be without another two regulars.
Mark-Anthony Kaye and Andy Najar each exited LAFC's 3-1 win over the Seattle Sounders on Sunday with injuries and neither will be available for selection on Wednesday.
"With Mark-Anthony it's a grade two ankle sprain, it's hard to give a definite timetable for what that looks like," head coach Bob Bradley told media on a virtual press conference Tuesday. "The good news is swelling went down... the early signs are positive. Andy has a slight hamstring (injury), we feel bad for him. It's been a little bit reoccurring. His return to play has had ups and downs, which are frustrating for a player to deal with, but I don't think (the injury) is real bad."
Without any of their three Designated Players, LAFC got a huge performance from MLS Player of the Week Danny Musovski en route to their victory over Seattle.
Latif Blessing figures to continue filling in at right back in the interim, though the club have also added fullback Mark Segbers on loan from Memphis 901 FC.
"It's a period that we're certainly relying on depth," Bradley said. "We're relying on guys who go through training, pick up ideas and know when it's their turn, they have to be ready to help the team."
Wednesday's opponent Vancouver are also coming off a win, having beat Real Salt Lake 2-1. The Whitecaps are still chasing the playoff line, just one point behind the 8th-place Colorado Rapids.
