Well.
Kei Kamara has now scored against 21 MLS teams (20 current + Chivas USA, R.I.P.) Sebastian Giovinco was – and then wasn't – and then was this season's 2nd 20-goal man, making him the league's first-ever player to top 20 goals and 10 assists in a single season, a feat the Atomic Ant advanced further still with a 59th-minute assist that bumped him to 20 and 15 for the year. Those 35 combined goals plus assists also represent a new league record, topping Chris Wondolowski's 34 (27 goals, 7 assists) in 2012.
They are both, in the common parlance, pretty good at this soccer thing.
With a goal each, they continue to lead the Golden Boot with space. Until Toronto FC plays that game in hand, and Giovinco goes scoreless in it, Kamara's spot at the top is, shall we say, threatened.
David Villa (17 goals) and Robbie Keane (16) each tallied as well, creating a distinct 3-4-5 for the first time in a few weeks. A strong showing by veteran scorers on this table, with the aforementioned Wondolowski rounding out the field at 15.

That header, tho! Moving away from goal, at the right corner of the 6-yard box, Kamara directed Frederico Higuain's corner into 'keeper no man's land. Must've decided the straight-on angle was for mere mortals after a near-miss.
And we've got love for Ethan Finlay, but #cmonson. There are goals to be had here!

So there's no highlight to be found, but Seba was like THISCLOSE on a shot in the 4th minute Saturday, and the kid's got spin moves for days. Low center of gravity, or something like that. Just strap on and enjoy the ride.

Hey, if they decide there's a penalty in the fourth minute of stoppage time, seven minutes after one went the other way, are you refusing to step in with three points on the line because ... sportsmanship? Of course not.
So here's to lining 'em up, and knocking 'em in when it counts.

Robbie Keane — LA

Keane and the Galaxy got off the schneid in the same game, and if it weren't for that blastedcrossbar, we might well be on the cusp of 20-goal scorer No. 3. The one that went in wasn't too shabby, either. (Nice backheel, Gio!)
The once-weighted ledger has balanced, everyone except Giovinco three from the finish, and we'll see exactly how much damage Keane can do for the (re-ascendant?) Galaxy.

Wondo? Rimando'ed. … Twice.
That's just part of the package against RSL. On to the next one.
