San Jose Earthquakes midfielder J.J. Koval is getting a chance to spend some time with of the most successful clubs in European soccer over the next two weeks.
The Quakes announced Tuesday that Koval is currently on a two-week training stint with Portuguese giants Benfica. The two-time European champions currently top the Primeira Liga by six points and were runners-up in last year's Europa League.

The 22-year-old made 22 appearances for San Jose in MLS in 2014, including nine starts, after being selected No. 9 in the 2014 SuperDraft.
